A good time was had by the eight shooters who attended our Black Powder Line Shoot at the club range on Saturday, March 27, 2010.

The day was very cold, but Tony Bolduc showed up just in time to cook up hot food and coffee in the range house. Thanks Tony, we appreciated it.

There were two 25 yard matches and a fifty yard match. Then, to make things interesting, we shot the wild turkey silhouette target at 50 yards. That target is a life size tom turkey with a spring loaded head that flops down when hit. Fifty yards proved to be too easy for these guys; the target was moved back to seventy five yards.

The day’s top scorer was Dan Ferry, who won the powder horn donated by George Sutton. Thanks George. Second place was John Sewall. Shooters attending were black powder co-chair Scott Brydon, Dan Ferry, John Sewall, Dana Robinson, Jim Daniels ( who drove all the way from Augusta), Bo, and Paul.

Thanks to George Sutton for donating targets and the powder horn prize, and Bo who took the attached pictures.

Total revenue for the club was $40. Keep checking the club website for future shoot dates.
