Hunters please take notice

Dear Maine Deer Hunter,

We want to wish you a safe, enjoyable and successful deer hunt!

Thank you for using the MOSES Licensing system to purchase your license. By

doing, so, you have saved your Maine Department of Inland Fisheries and

Wildlife money that can be spent on our resources, rather than the

administrative costs related to paper licensing.

It is vitally important that all who hunt, fish and trap in Maine maintain

a high level of ethical behavior to ensure our sporting future. Poaching is

a crime and it unfairly damages the reputation, traditions and future of

hunting, trapping and fishing. Please report all poaching and illegal

introduction activity by calling:

Operation Game Thief at: 1-800-ALERT US

Remember that access to private land is a privilege. Please always, ASK

FIRST before hunting on private lands. Remember to always be sure of your

target and what lies beyond it. Tell someone where you plan to hunt and

when you plan to return, and carry water and essential survival gear with

you. Have a safe and successful hunt! Please forward this email to your

friends who hunt but may not have used MOSES for their license purchase.

Thanks for your partnership in managing Maine's fish and wildlife resources!
